Excellent All Round Camera

I have owned this camera for a couple of years now, upgrading from the 40D. The difference was significant. Very low shadow noise, low ISO noise up to 800 and constantly accurate and very fast focusing and coupled with the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens very sharp and always reliable. I have used this body for numerous studio portrait shoots and it does not disappoint with speed, accuracy, low noise at elevated ISO and weight. I found the battery life amazing even after 500+ studio shots is 2 hours. Highly recommended and at this price it's a real bargain.

Hey Minty, to answer your question the Canon EOS 7D takes a Li-Ion LP-E6 Rechargeable (1800mAh) battery. Hope this answers your question.
As for your old Canon SLR camera, I would need to know what model it is before I can advise. Hope that helps.
